Ron Pollack: Get Acquainted With The Experienced Fund Manager

Veteran investment and fund manager Ron Pollack is gearing up for the anticipated big money to come as all signs towards recovery of the financial markets in the US are all up today. The recent economic downturn that wreaked havoc in the US and in other parts of the world has brought many companies to their knees, leaving the US stock market in shambles for the most part of 2008 and 2009. However at present, the economy is springing back to settle the financial market in order. So, if you are one of those who is in need of a piece of the market recovery, you would need someone who could manage your funds better.

There may be many investment and fund managers out in the field, however, Ron Pollack has been one of the few who has been trained in financial markets since he was a kid. This means an advancement in terms of experience. Thus, financial markets almost run inside Ron's life. He first started learning on markets during his visits to Florida as he accompanied his grandfather Max to the local stockbroker. Max was an avid long-term investor back in the day when there was no Internet or Bloomberg or any other means to view financial information on TV in real-time. Max would bring Ron to the stockbroker office in Shearson, where a group of other men would wait and watch the ticker-tape. During those Florida visits, Ron's interest in the financial world had been awakened.

After earning a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Yale, finishing as magna cum laude in his class, Ron Pollack went on to obtained MBA and Juris Doctor degrees from Harvard University. He then became an investment banker at Goldman Sachs at first. He later worked for Drexel Burnham Lambert, then became a limited partner at Feshbach Brothers, which was an initiating firm on short selling.

Ron Pollack founded Bulldog Capital Management after working for renowned investment and finance institutions. His firm is constituted of smaller groups of funds that deal with long and short, net short, and other types of funds. Bulldog Capital Management was merged with the Monitor Group, which became a large global investing and consulting company in 2002. His grandfather Max introduced him to stock markets.
